- 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 cup macadamia nuts coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 350℉. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
Cream together butter, granulated sugar, eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
Whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl.
Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and mix well.
Add the white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts and mix just until the ingredients are incorporated.
Using a two-inch cookie scoop, place the cookies on the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each scoop.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies turn a slight golden brown color. Remove from the oven and place the cookies on a cooling rack. Cool completely before serving. Serve and enjoy!
- Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough for 24-72 hours will yield a thick, chewy cookie with a more developed flavor. If you have the time, it’s worth it to get the best texture!
- Measuring the Flour: Using a digital kitchen scale to measure the flour can help you get a more accurate measurement than with standard measuring cups.
- Keep the Butter Out of the Fridge: Keeping the butter at room temperature means that it aerates properly when you cream it together with the other ingredients. When pressed with a finger, the sticks of butter should give slightly but still hold their shape.
- Salted vs. Unsalted Macadamia Nuts: You can decide whether you want salted or unsalted nuts for this recipe– both will work just fine.
- To Keep the Cookies Soft After Baking: Put a piece of bread in the cookie jar to keep them moist and fresh for longer. This tip totally works!
