Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tablespoons course ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a small bowl. Mix until well combined and store in an airtight container.
  • Season each side of the hamburger patty with ¼ - ½ teaspoon of seasoning before grilling or cooking.

Notes

  • Season the outside of your formed burger patties rather than mixing into the raw meat for best texture and flavor distribution.
  • Apply the seasoning immediately before cooking to prevent drawing moisture from the meat.
  • Store your seasoning blend in a cool, dark cabinet in an airtight container to maintain maximum potency.
  • Spices lose strength over time. Refresh your spice cabinet regularly for the best flavors.
  • Start with less seasoning than you think you need. You can always add more, but you can't take it away.
