Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds top sirloin cut into stripes
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped into stripes
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped into stripes
  • 1 yellow onion sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fajita seasoning
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 1 ½ tablespoons salt divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 1 pepper in adobo sauce use more for a spicy kick
  • fresh lime juice for serving
  • fresh cilantro for serving
  • sour cream for serving

Instructions

  • Mix chopped veggies, olive oil, and 1 tsp salt into a bowl. Then, use your hands to mix until everything is well coated.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 350F. Then, add mixed veggies and cook for 12 minutes. Shake the basket after the first six minutes of cooking for an even roast.
  • Mix the beef with fajita seasoning, ½ tsp salt, and 1 tsp olive oil, and toss to coat.
  • Add the beef to the Air Fryer and cook for 10 more minutes. Shake halfway through.
  • Warm your tortillas and serve with guacamole, sour cream, and your favorite fajita toppings.

Notes

  • For even more flavor, consider marinating the top sirloin strips in the fajita seasoning, salt, and olive oil for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This allows the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  • Adjust the amount of pepper in adobo sauce based on your spice preference. For those who enjoy a spicier kick, feel free to add more. If you prefer milder fajitas, reduce the amount accordingly.
  • Warm the tortillas just before serving. Cold tortillas tend to crack and don't hold the fillings as well.
  • For maximum tenderness, slice steak against the grain into thin strips no thicker than ¼-inch.
