Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cups butter room temperature
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 6 cups quick oatmeal
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉. Line a 13x18 cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Using a stand mixer, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Next, slowly add the milk.
  • In a separate bowl, add the flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix together.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well incorporated. Carefully add the chocolate chips and oatmeal. Then, mix just until blended.
  • Evenly press the dough into the prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges turn a slight golden brown color. Remove the bars from the oven, and cool before serving.
  • Serve and enjoy!
