  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 (14 ounce) package of little smokies smoked sausages
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Roll out the crescent roll dough and slice each triangle into three strips. Then, cut each piece of cheese into six pieces.
  • Place a slice of cheese in the center of the crescent roll. Then, top it with smoked sausage and roll it up. Repeat with remaining smoked sausage.
  • In a small bowl, add the butter and melt in the microwave. Then, add Dijon mustard, honey, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, onion powder. Mix until well combined.
  • Place pigs in a blanket on the baking sheet and brush butter topping on them.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent dough is puffed and golden brown.

Notes

  • Place the crescent rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet to keep them from opening as the cook.
  • Serve with a variety of condiments and sauces for dipping.
