- ½ cup butter softened
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1½ cup quick oats
- 1½ cup all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350℉. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
Cream together butter and suger using a stand mixer. Add in eggs, and vanilla extract.
Next, add salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined.
Slowly rotate, adding rolled oats, and flour. Mix until all the ingredients are incorporated.
Place the cookies on the baking sheet using a 2½ inch cookie scoop. Leave about 2 inches between each cookie.
Bake for 10-12 mins until the cookies turn slightly golden brown around the edges.
If you prefer a flatter cookie, gently flatten each cookie slightly using a spatula.
Allow cookies to cool completely.
Icing
Mix powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk in a small bowl.
Using a spoon, drizzle the icing over each cookie.
