Vanilla Buttercream Frosting
- ½ cup Salted butter softened
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2½ tbsp milk for thinning
- ½ cup maple syrup
Preheat over to 375℉. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar using a stand mixer.
Mix in eggs, vanilla extract, and baking powder.
Slowly mix in the flour until the dough starts to form large pieces.
Place the dough on the lined baking sheets using a 3-inch cookie scoop (about ⅓ cup of dough). Leave about 3 inches between each cookie.
Flatten each cookie to about ½ inch, thick. Using a wooden skewer create a waffle pattern on each cookie.
Bake for 11-14 minutes or until the cookies are slightly golden brown around the edges.
If the lines on the cookies have flattened out, gently re-do the lines while the cookies are still hot. Remove the cookies from the baking sheet and place them on a cooling rack.
Vanilla Butter Cream Frosting
Cream together softened butter and vanilla extract using either a hand or stand mixer.
Slowly add powdered sugar. Use milk to thin the frosting until you get the desired consistency.
Place the frosting on each cookie using a 1-inch cookie scoop. Garnish with a drizzle of maple syrup. Serve and Enjoy!
