Ingredients

Instructions

  • Add breakfast sausage to a large skillet over medium heat and cook until brown, about 5-7 minutes. While cooking, break it apart with a wooden spatula.
  • Sprinkle the sausage with flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Then, stir until it absorbs the fat.
  • Slowly pour milk into the skillet while whisking. Stir until it reaches your desired thickness.
  • Serve over biscuits, and enjoy!

Notes

    • Break down the flour: Make sure the flour is completely broken down before you add the milk, so you don’t end up with any clumps.
    • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Alternatively, you can freeze the leftovers for up to 3 months. Defrost in the fridge overnight and reheat gently on the stove.
    • Don’t discard the fat: Do not drain the pan after cooking the sausage, as the fat adds to the flavor.
