Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 1 ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Pre-heat over to 375°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Mix butter, vanilla, and eggs until well blended using a stand or a hand mixer.
  • Slowly add brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
  • Next, mix in baking powder and salt. Add peanut butter and mix until well combined.
  • Slowly add the flour and mix until the dough starts to form a clump. Mix in chocolate chips.
  • Scoop the dough using a 2-inch cookie scoop. Place the dough on the lined cookie sheets leaving 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-13 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden brown.
  • Remove the cookies from the baking sheet and place them on a cooling rack. Cool completely. Serve and Enjoy!

Notes

  • Room Temperature Ingredients. Remove the butter and eggs ahead of time to come up to room temperature before mixing. Room-temperature ingredients blend more easily, so the dough is smoother and the flavors are fully mixed.
  • Don't Overmix. Especially after adding the flour! Overmixing can lead to a tougher texture. Mix until the flour is incorporated and then gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Perfectly Shaped Cookies. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to to scoop the dough so they are all the same size. This way, they will bake evenly.
  • Don't Overbake. You want cookies with soft centers so make sure to remove the cookies when the edges start to crisp up even though the centers may still look a bit soft.
