Iced Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
- ½ cup butter softened
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1½ tsp vanilla extract

- ½ tsp baking soda

- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1½ cup quick oats
- 1½ cup all-purpose flour
Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2½ tsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- Cream together butter and suger using a stand mixer. Add in eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Next, add salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined.
- Slowly rotate, adding rolled oats, and flour. Mix until all the ingredients are incorporated.
- Place the cookies on the baking sheet using a 2½ inch cookie scoop. Leave about 2 inches between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 mins until the cookies turn slightly golden brown around the edges.
- If you prefer a flatter cookie, gently flatten each cookie slightly using a spatula.
- Allow cookies to cool completely.
Icing
- Mix powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk in a small bowl.
- Using a spoon, drizzle the icing over each cookie.
